Own Nameserver
If you use your own nameservers (managed by yourself), you can use them as the primary nameservers in combination with the Moniker nameservers as the secondary nameservers for the DNS of your domain(s).
The corresponding settings can be made in your Moniker customer account.
Enter your own nameservers as external nameservers
Please enter your primary nameservers as external nameservers for your domain.
Please login into your customer account and click Domains My Domains and click on the domain name you want to configure.

In the configuration menu, please select the WHOIS / Nameserver tab.
In the Nameserver section select External Nameserver from the Type selection and enter your own nameservers. If you would like to use a "hidden primary", leave the field blank.
The IP address of your primary name server will be saved as the Primary Nameserver IP address in the system automatically.
Afterwards please activate the switch Use Secondary Nameservers.

Primary Nameserver IP Address
1 - Please enter the IP address of your master nameserver which provides the DNS zone for the domain. With the "Add" button you can enter up to eight IP addresses (IPv4 / IPv6).
2 - Please select one or more of the suggested nameservers as Secondary Nameserver. The selected nameservers will be added to the list of external nameservers and submitted to the registry after saving.
Please make sure that the selected nameservers are registered on the primary nameserver in the DNS zonefile of the domain.
3 - Please make sure that the zone transfer is allowed for the following IP addresses on your master nameserver:
IPv4:
192.99.44.213
167.114.103.127
IPv6 (optional):
2607:5300:60:4fd5:192:95:55:207
2607:5300:60:6a7f:192:99:185:222
4 - Please note that your current DNS Zone on our default nameserver will be deleted when using our secondary nameserver. You can export the current DNS zone before saving.
Once the selection has been made and the zone has been exported, please click on Save.

Hidden Primary
To use your own nameserver as a hidden master, do not enter name of the nameserver in the list of external nameservers.
It is sufficient if the secondary nameservers are entered as external nameservers.
The zone transfer is ensured by entering the IP address(es) of the master nameserver in the section "Use secondary name servers".
Please make sure that the selected nameservers are registered on the primary nameserver in the DNS zonefile of the domain.
Please also make sure that the zone transfer is allowed for the following IP addresses on your master nameserver:
IPv4:
192.99.44.213
167.114.103.127
IPv6 (optional):
2607:5300:60:4fd5:192:95:55:207
2607:5300:60:6a7f:192:99:185:222
The list of secondary nameservers is just a suggestion.
Of course you can also use our white label name servers:
mdns1.nsdns.info
mdns2.nsdns.info
mdns3.nsdns.info
In this case, the desired nameservers must be entered manually as "external nameservers".
Please make sure that the selected nameservers are registered on the primary nameserver in the DNS zonefile of the domain.
