If you just activated a cPanel and got issues with sending emails from newly created email accounts, the cause will probably be a missing DKIM record.
Email providers like Google require a DKIM record to be present to accept emails from a domain.
The DKIM record needs to be generated manually in the cPanel and then entered in the DNS settings of the domain.
Please do the following:
- Log in to your cPanel:
- In the cPanel click on "Email Deliverability":
- Then on the manage button for the domain with the issue:
- Now click on "Generate Local DKIM Key":
- This will generate a Name and a Value. We need to copy those into the DNS settings of your domain:
Now you need to open the DNS settings of your domain. Please do the following:
- In your Moniker account, click on the domain name in the My Domains list:
- On the next screen click on "Modify Domain Setup":
- Now make sure your are on the "Our Nameservers & DNS" screen (1), locate the "Add New Record" section (2), select Type = TXT (3), enter "default._domainkey" as the name (4) and copy the Value the cpanel has generated as the Text Data (5).
When this is done click "Add". - Now click "Apply Now" and "Submit" on the following screen to apply the change.
